I need help figuring out why oil and coolant are mixing in my motor. Before i start its a 7bolt block bottom build stock head with (MLS HG & ARP head studs). Today i pulled the valve cover to see what was going ON because days earlier i found some oil and coolant mixture in my dipstick and spotted coolant in the head. This is where it starts i notice coolant coming from one of the head studs witch broughtme to the conclusion that it definitely has to do with the head gasket. As of the car performing it doesnt smoke, idles fine and i pulled the plugs to see if there was any sign of coolant on the cylinder but they were dry.

Here its a link for a video i took of the coolant coming from the stud.

Did you recently put on the MLS? Did you have the head and block prepped?

Put it like this, i bought the car with a bad clutch. The motor was rebuild probably 3 months before i got it. Whether it was prepped or not i dont really know and i dont have anyway to contact the guy who sold me the car. I dont have much experience on head work but you could definitely tell the head was cleaned up at a shop. Im thinking its either a warped head or a stud not in torque spec... If you see the video, clearly shows how the coolant/water its coming from the head stud...

So it's leaking from a coolant port up threw threads of the stud, pull the head, check the block for flatness and install a new gasket. Have you tried to apply torque on that stud to see if maybe someone forgot to torque it? 90ft lbs.

to me it might be that the guy who did this didnt ouse molly lube when installing the head stubs and the torque specs are way off from what they need to be set at

So what would you recommend? Taking out every studs and redo the job using lube? Like i said theres no sign of of oil/coolant mixture in the cylinders so its not as bad as a HG problem. I do see the mixture down in the oil pan but of course it would get down there running through the head oil passage so im not really worried about that...

just grab a torque wrech set it to 90ft/lbs and see if you can turn them when you use the molly lube you should be able to go up to 110 and not be able to move them cause when you use the lube when it reaches the torque specs its acctually tighter from less friction. try seeing if they are loose if so i would redo the whole process
