OFH ports for oil pressure gauge

Hey guys, I have an electric oil pressure gauge installed and I have pretty high oil pressure. Once the car is fully warmed up, it reads around 80 psi crusing at 3k rpm's and idle is around 13 psi. I currently have the gauge tapped into the port on the oil filter housing that is pointing straight to the ground. Is that port going to read higher pressure for me or does it not matter. I wanted to keep my stock gauge functioning. Also with the stock gauge (I understand its not supposed to be accurate) it reads pretty normal oil pressure all the time for however many rpm's the motor is at. That is sort of why I thought maybe I had it tapped into a place that is going to read higher pressure.

Do you have balance shafts? Just because the car is fully warmed up dosent mean your oil temp is up to operating temp. I know it takes me a good 20-25mins of driving for my oil to warm up and drop my oil pressures. . .

This might work for you so you can get your aftermarket and stock gauge working off the same port on the ofh.

I'm going to find out if it has balance shafts or not in a week or so when I start taking the car apart for timing belt/water pump and a few goodies. I just wasn't sure because it is higher than it should be I think. If I don't have balance shafts I'll just port out the oil relief hole in the OFH.

Oil temps also determine oil pressure. My oil pressure is high for the first 20-30 mins of driving, I also have an oil temp gauge, and when it's over 130 degree's, my oil pressures get within normal ranges.
