OEM Sideskirt Dilemma...

Ive just about finished my 97-99 conversion except for the sideskirts.....Ive been waiting and looking for a set for a couple months and they are almost impossible to find. Are there any other sideskirts that look ok with 97-99 front and rear? I really want the OEM ones but they seem impossible to find an entire set so I was looking at other possiblilties.....the only other skirts that seem to be and the same height are the blitz low skirts. You think they would look ok with OEM front and rear or should I just keep waiting for a set of stock ones...any ideas let me know

Find some guy who has a body kit on their 97-99 Eclipse and buy their OEM skirts from them. Either that or hit up a junk yard. IMO the Blitz skirts won't look right with the other parts stock. And you really want the OEM ones anyways! Be patient for what you really want. You will find it eventually.

Umm the 95-96 side skirts are the same as the 97-99 sideskirts,unless you have a talon or an rs in wich case you wouldn't have any sideskirts.

nah the 97-99 skirts are a litle different and its an RS so it has no skirts, which looks horrible IMO....but I'll just wait untill i come across the oem ones.....err

im sure you could get them from your local mitsu dealer. ya..be patient and do it right. I did the same thing (2ga to 2gb) and i love it. only thing that you gotta be careful of, if your a gs, gst, or gsx, the caps on the doors that flow with the skirt are different from 2ga's.

I didnt want to start another thread on skirts so ill put my ? here. I have a 98 RS if i Get the OEM skirts will they just go on with a little drilling or will i have to buy something else

i have 2gb talon sideskirts and i think they look good with the eclipse front...granted i'm still 2ga...but they still flow with the car.

I was going to do twist skirts but decided to keep my current ones. I don't know if they flow or not but I love the look of them.

Actually you can get them pretty cheap from a dealer. Call around sometimes they will give a price break to clear out their on-hand inventory.

Wrong in many ways. 2ga eclipse skirts differ quite a bit from 2gb. 2ga curves in and under the car, whereas 2gb flares out from teh car. 2ga talons had twisty skirts, 2gb talons had no sideskirts. RS's didn't get skirts.

Thanks i never really noticed the difference.I knew about the talons but the eclipse looked the same to me before you pointed this out.peace.
