So my oil pressure gauge on the cluster is stuck on max, whether the cars on or off. From what I've been reading it sounds like either a grounding issue or a problem with the sending unit, however I'm not sure as the original problem on all the posts I've read are slightly different (not stuck at max, most change position between the car running and not).

Any confirmation on the issue would be appreciated (I have a 2g GST parts car with a working gauge/sending unit so I have the parts, just want to make sure what I'm replacing before hand).

yea thats prob your best bet or just get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.

mine does the exact same thing but its stock all the way at the bottom not the top i just got an aftermarket gauge and i just need to install it.

Pick up an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. Autozone has them for like $20 or something. The stock gauge shouldn't be trusted and in my opinion, oil pressure is one of the most important things to keep an eye on.
