need to know the numbers stamped on the top so i know what is turbo and what is not, goin to buy a oem fpr and 450's but need to be sure its not a n/t fpr.

if anyone with a all stock car could go and write your down and then post it or know of any links to how i can find this pls help. my car runs the n/t fpr and im running so rich its unfreakin believable.

I have (3) 1g fpr's in my garage, the one in the middle is off of a turbo (see how it's flat across the top) and the two on the outside are from N/T's (see how they are concave in the center).

The numbers, at least on the two 1g N/T fpr's I have, aren't the same but they both have the concave center on top of it.

Good info. I wondered this about a couple regulators I have as well. It doesn't look like the case on yours, but my N/T regulator has a smaller fuel outlet on it as well. It will almost fit inside the outlet of the turbo regulator!

Keep in mind, there is a difference between the auto and the manual regulators on the 1gs! I don't know the part numbers but I know the pressures are different. Unsure if there is a visual difference as with the ones above.

91 turbo fpr says denso 1382 and has a nippondenso emblem on it and an H by the vacuum nipple. I have a few laying around. they are free to anyone who wants them.

Well i found this on another forum.

4G61T - Denso 1390
1G 4G63T - Denso 1381
1G 4G63T (auto) - Denso 1382
1G 4G63 (NA) - Denso 1261

But there has been alot of confusion as some claim the 1382 is a 5 speed turbo fpr, and it says that a nt is 1261 but mine has 1271 on it

I guess im goin to take gofer's word for it on the physical look of it the top being flat for a turbo and concaved for n/t, wonder if that was their way of getting that extra 10 psi for a n/t, they crushed it like we do our bov for holding more boost. LOL

I'm not a 1g fpr expert, just wanting to put that out there. I just pulled those three 1g fpr's from a local junkyard a few months ago and the two off the N/T's have a "crushed" (LOL) center, unlike the 1g turbo fpr I pulled.

I ran the one on the far left for a few weeks while I was passing CA smog and I verified fuel pressure at 47psi with my gauge when I first installed it.

I can hook you up with the manual 1g fpr number tomarrow.I have an auto and a manual. The 1g auto runs 38ish psi,and the auto runs about 42 ish.Which makes 1g manual cars actually flowing about 410cc's of fuel, and not 450 like it should.(Interesting fact)

Should be common knowledge seeing as fuel injectors are rated at 43.5 psi.

BTW the 1382 FPR's that i have all came off of 1g turbo manual cars. I am positive the 1382 FPR off my current manual GSX was the original. The car was stock down to the air filter and non modded air can. It even had a BOV cover, turbo heat shield and spark plug wire cover. When a kid gets a new DSM to destroy, it is mandatory to remove those items. So I doubt this car had a swapped fuel pressure regulator.

I'm not sure about the numbers, but I am in agreeance with what gofer said about the 'crushed' looking one's. My turbo Laser (bone stock when I bought it as well) had the flat top style fpr and the fpr I had on my shelf from an Eclipse GS (n/t) is 'crushed'. That might be the easiest way to tell without the numbers.

I got busy with running errands today, So I din't get the check than manual fpr for you..Maybe tomarrow.

1g manual fpr is flat, with a recessed dimple in the center. It reads H 3d, or H ID denso 1382.

I have a denso fpr with a part # 1262 does anyone know what that came off and what base fuel pressure is

^^^^ The 1262 is off a N/T 1G DSM, but that all depends on whether it has concaved head or not, and the fuel pressure should be 47psi.

So I was digging around in my garage and came across some random DSM fpr's and found that it doesn't really matter what denso part number is present on the fpr.

If you look both of these are 1382 denso fpr's, but you can tell that the fpr on the right is not concaved (this was removed from my 1G Turbo) and the other is concaved (not sure what car I got this one off of).

Then there is this one ^^ that I pulled off a 91 N/T and it has the concaved head with the 1262 on it. I think fuel pressure boils down to whether the head is concaved or not...:banghead: I will do more testing to see what the fuel pressure is on the 2 i have that are 1382 but have concaved and non-concaved heads once I have free minute in the garage.

I can confirm that the 1382 comes in both concave and flat, as i am sitting here with the same issue in front of me. Unfortunately, the flat one would react to vacuum but not to boost. FP was dropping immediately under boost.
