Just wondering if the flywheel height is the same for all clutches? .608 - .610 getting a OEM exedy clutch and wasn't sure if that woul be the correct step height,

Thanks

are you talking the thickness between the flywheel to crank mating surface and the clutch disk to flywheel mating surface? Does this have to be the same or I thought the clutch pedal can be adjusted to push the disk further onto the friction surface. I'm about to install a fidanze flywheel and exedy stage one organic clutch disk, what else do I need to know?

I need to resurface my flywheel step height for proper clutch disengagement. I'm talkin about where the flywheel mates to the clutch disc, if it is out of specification it can causing clutch releasing problems which I have know with my current act 2100, the Flywheel wasn't stepped to the correct height of .608 to .610 and I would not like to have the same problem with a new tranny and clutch/ pressur plate.

after a bit of research i found the step height refers to the distance between the mounting surface of the pressure plate and the friction surface, I don't know what my stock is but I just measured my fidanza flywheel ready to install, and its 39/64th's step, or converted to decimal thats 0.609375 inches or maybe a hair's width over that about the best measurement i can get with a steel rule in 1/32 inch increments.

Other posts I've read suggest any thing between .612 and .608 is good

I'm not sure if that matches up to to between .608 and .610, I was going to pull my
OEM flywheel currently on the car in 2 weeks and get it stepped to about those heights because my clutch system seems to be good, new slave/master, TOB ok, fork ok, pivot ball ok, clutch probably worn down some and the master is adjusted correctly all the way and I still get drag at 6800 rpm. Synchros worn in 1st and I can only think the flywheel
Wasn't at the correct stepheight for act disc and pressure plate, causing my problems....LOL sorry if doesnt make sense hard to type on this damn phone
