OEM Carbon hood bestquility what r some recomendations??

VIS is the only way to go with carbon fiber

it comes with clear coat so it whont get milky.
GET HOOD PINS ask any one they will say the same thing unless they are stupid

probably ebay, but do a search in google, and after you search up at the top you can click on froogle. it is cool, it will let you see pics and prices, and arrange them from lowest to highest price. if you buy from ebay make sure it is a vis hood, and not some knock-off piece of sh*t.

there are ALOT of threads on this topic....put i will say it again

from what i have seen of vis hoods they have become hit and miss on the quality
ebay= you get what you pay for

i would recomend a hood from franks custom fiberglass....do i search on them i have heard great things

1) are heavy

2) turn a yellow piss color

How do I know? I have one.

But the finish is really good.

Why do you have to get hood pins? Isnt the VIS hood latch very strong?

if you are looking for a good OEM Carbon Fiber Hood for a good price. go to www.tomato-racing.com and they should have something there for you. they go for about 100-150 cheaper then most places.

how do you take care of a CF hood? I got one from ViS and I dont want it to turn yellow. Ive heard good about them but every once and a while somoene will complain about them. Can I wax it?

It comes with a gelcoat on which is waxable just like normal paint/clearcoat. I keep mine waxed and the car relatively clean. I've had the hood for almost a year now, and no signs of yellowing or such.

alright cool only other thing is can someone point me in the right direction like a FAQ or something on how and where to install hood pins. the hood will be here this weekend and I have a set of sparco hood pins I just dont really know how to install them and dont wanna mess up the hood. thanks.
