I am in need of new front axles. The last axle I tried was from Oreilly and it didn't go very well. After searching I have realized there is very little information on what OEM replacement axles work for our cars. I have tried Oreilly's, they are junk. I called Raxles, they just want to rebuild mine. I also don't feel like paying $400 for a resplined Oreilly axle from DSM Graveyard. So you can see my frustration.

Any suggestions for axles that have worked in the past? My car is an early '95 AWD with VLSD, ABS, and Manual trans by the way. Thanks a ton in advance! :)

I'd say look in the classifieds for a part out, Or maybe someone is selling their spares. I had to buy a rear axle when I bought my car and the only person that had it was Mitsubishi, 300$ later and it's been good, 4 years later :)

Thanks for the response. I was hoping I wouldnt have to go to Mitsu but it might be worth it. At least I would know I'm using a quality part.

One option is to just upgrade to DSM Graveyard's 800HP capable axels. I mean, if you need new ones, why not go all out? You're going to end up paying in the end anyways.

If you haven't already looked, check ROCKAUTO.COM, they usually have good prices for decent parts.

I might consider the OE replacement. But I'm not even seeing upgraded front axles on their site right now. And even if I did, I would have to use the stock trans side cup and boot which I don't have. Not to mention $250 is quite a bit for a resplined Oreilly axle...

My front set are from advanced. There not reman there actually new. Have about 7k and 40-50 launches on them. No issues yet.

I'll have to check them out. Which brand?
