Just recently my car started making a somewhat strange sound. It sounds almost like what a bus or semi sounds like when they stop. Like a real loud screech, like it's brake related and so on.

However, the car only makes the noise when I am at a dead stop and I put it in gear and start to go. Other than that, you can't hear a thing. I noticed my rotors warped about 3 weeks ago and haven't had time to replace them, but I didn't know if the two subjects could be related.

Any help is appreciated, and some rep. points for anyone that can lend anymore insight. :thumb:

yup, when rotors are warped, they only make that "bus sound" when you let off the brakes.

They should however feel a little bit of a grinding feeling and also feel spongy as hell. Im guessing your breaks are nearly down to the metal as well??

Hows your brake pedal feel when you brake?

I could use some rep points =)

I was told by a shop that wrapped rotors don't create performance issues...replacing them will just get rid of the annyone vibrating feel when you slow down and the bouncy pedal feel when you press the brake. I never had a bus sound when starting up and I had warped rotors.

10% chance this is an issue:
If you have a bubble in your brake lines your brakes might not be releasing when you are starting creating a grind on the rotors as if the brakes are still pressed.

This is actually what I was leaning towards. And now, it appears that this is what has happened and because of it, it has worn my pads down causing them to scrape on the rotors. So I'm getting new pads and rotors today, and bleeding the lines here within the hour. Thanks :thumb:
