2G odd rattle noise

Only on startup for about a second I hear what sounds to be a metal rattle noise almost as if its a strap of metal flapping around the crank. This noise is fairly loud and almost sounds like the passenger side. Then while driving I hear as I pass a solid surface such as a wall or car, an almost window rattle like sound on the driver side gets louder with acceleration.

Any ideas?

Check your alternator for loose parts. I had a similar issue last year that turned out to be my alternator. There was a stripped bolt in it that was spinning around the stator and sparking.

Id check your exhaust get someone to start your car and hold the exhaust tip and see if it rattles happend to me once (started hearing it again today time to change the rubber hangers ).

ive had the long bolt in the alternator come loose on a few different cars!
