Im going to copy and paste what i wrote on another forum as to what has been happening through out the day.. I had to post there because i couldnt get to DSMtuners from my phone for some reason..
so.. part 1
To make it short.. I filled my car with coolant, forgot to put the cap back on and drove off.. Obviously coolant went all over and was lost and I overheated.. I drove 10 miles total like this.. Only 5 or 6 of those miles I was overheating bad. I had to keep driving to get myself some coolant..
I put coolant in but it starts to smoke out of where the coolant is going in, so I stop. Im waiting for my car to cool as we speak so I can keep puting coolant in.
My question is, do you think anything bad could have happened? Besides puting more coolant in, replacing the radiator cap and possibly the thermostat?
Any suggestions from anyone?
Part 2...
Well, i finally got to where i was going.. Had to leave my car at a car pool lot though..
I had to pull off at a rest stop.. My car would over heat, a little, then drop back down from normal.. Its dont it before and all i had to do was empty my over-flow bottle and it was taken care of. So i did just that.. Put more coolant in.. Went to start the car and go, now it spits and sputters and sounds like a lawn mower.. It does this under 3k RPMS (my cars a manual) It just doesnt seem like its getting enough air or the spark plugs are messed up.. My car was also leaking a little bit of oil to at the rest stop. I just did an oil change to..
But when i left my car at the car pool.. No oil leak.. The car kept its temp. just fine and all.. It just would not accelerate really at all, sounded like crap and sputtered/jerked..
Any ideas?
All help is appreciated.
