Alright,
My car has a check engine light on. A friend and I hooked his Logger up to see what the issue was. There is a CEL code for virtaully every sensor on the car...like CAS, TDC sensor, knock sensor, coolant temp, MAFS . The car runs and idles nice...it feels slow. Also the ECU is only getting 1Hz of feedback while driving. Now at idle the car spiratically gets the correct readings on all the sensors and the Hz goes up to around 8hz. but quickly goes back to being crazy and only 1hz. when cruising the RPM jumps all around on the logger, but the cars tach is fine. The car is also getting extremely false readings like from the correct 0 counts of knock and jumping randomly to a impossible 250+ counts. This hapens spiratically at idle but its mainly completely off while the car is moving or off of idle. also the o2 sensor is reading a voltage of 5.2v and occasionally goes normal only to jump again.
We have a notion that something is not grounded properly, or that the ECU is failing but we arent sure. Has anyone had this problem or heard of anything like this and what could cause this? Please help!
