Wasup everybody i have a 92 laser rs with 95k original miles on it jus got it about 6 months ago and i drive it pretty conservatively because it is still stock no launches or anything only has apexi cat-back. My problem is when i put the car in first and go to pull of normally it feels like the clutch is still maybe 50% still engaged and when i shift to second it feels like the clutch is about 75% engaged and the rest of the gears feel fine, i havent toor into anything yet and i am assuming that the stock clutch is still in there and with that in mind i jus purchased a act 2100lb kit but i jus feel like it may not jus be the clutch not sure if anyone has some insight that could help it would be much helpful. Thanks for the space :laser:

If you press the gas and your rev fast but speed doesn't increase as fast as it should. That means your clutch is slipping. When your saying 50%, 75% engaged, does it feel like its slipping?

It doesnt really feel like its slippin it jus feels like im still on the clutch and i never let off when i am indeed of the clutch. It doesnt fully engage i think? :( im not really sure its is kinda hard to explain. In first the revs will fly and i wont be goin anywhere and in 2nd until i get to about 4500rpms the car doesnt really feel like it wants to go but 3rd, 4th and 5th, are all perfect no problems at all? I dont know where to go next????

Put it into first, and start up slowly. Then press the gas moderately slow all the way to the floor.

If your clutch is slipping, you will definitely feel the engine break loose revs(but the car won't go anywhere.) Also, when you let go of the gas after that, your engine revs will feel like the got pulled down.

If your clutch isn't slipping, there are no worries.

Its not slipping...

That is the problem..

Bleed and check the clutch adjustment.

The pivot ball may be worn..

p-plate bolts loose.. etc..

Something is causing it to NOT disengage completely...
