octane ratings

I searched and couldn't pin point the answer I wanted. Sunoco up the street has 98 octane for cheap... All I got is open downpipe, header, air can hack/maf hack, 13psi.... would I benefit from running it since it's not much more then 93? Plus that smell

And I would mix it somewhat with 93

Unless you up the boost or increase timing you would not see a difference at all

Are you sure youre loking at gasoline not e85?

Yea sunoco around here has 98 and 107 octane

Dang, private piston airplanes uses 100 low lead blue fuels..

Like marchev said unless you up your boost or advance your timing there is no point. Unless your knocking a bit now, or if you are gonna do a little tuning then use it as bit of a safety margin. I know you have to tune for your fuel but just keep it a bit conservative with timing. That way if you run 93 you won't grenade it.
