Ok, heres the deal... Once in awhile when I shift, I will get an odd chirping noise. It only seems to do it though when I go from 1-2 and from 2-3, then stops.... Would this be an indication of a bad TOB? It only does it when I shift...

A bad throw-out bearing will usually make a rattling type of noise until you press the clutch in, I'm not sure if it will do anything else b/c thats all I've heard of. The chirping isn't your tires is it?

meh thats just you breaking the tires loose... ROFL. but as the guy above said about the tob it will only make noise when not depressed. thats how mine was when i fubared mine. when i pulled mine out of the trans it fell apart into about 5 pieces right ther and then :D

hmm...I have no clue then what would be causing it...Only guess I have would be the cv half axles. Both had torn boots, and I fixed the one, haven't gotten time nor funds to fix the other (need to replace an inner boot on the spare axle I have so I can pop it in to fix the one with the still torn boot). Or could it be the calipers?

sounds like a TOB to me,how old is your clutch set up and when did it start doing it?

Well, I can only imagine the clutch setup is OEM from 1992. The guy I bought the car from never did anything with the trans, and the original owner before him was an older man who's wife drove the car. Thing is though, it only does it on occasion, and only seems to do it when its humid outside. It has only happened to me 2x so far that I've noticed, but it may be more. I've had a sinus infection and ear infection for the past week, so hearing the groans and squeaks of my car is a bit hard :D
