So I've tried 4-5 times to try and communicate with my ECU through scanners at my shop (snap-on) nothing every time. The OBD port has power will communicate with airbag module but not the ECU, I just want to scan for codes.

Unrelated note can us 420a guys even tune our factory ECU's?

I had this issue with multiple scanners back when I had the stock ECU. The only thing I was able to connect with was a $30 Performance Tool scanner I bought a decade ago. The newer ones never seemed to work. I have no explanation for it.

Just to be sure, wiggle the connector to make sure no pins are loose and also check the cigarette lighter fuse. Those are common issues with it.

And no, there's no tuning to be done with the stock ECU. All tuning is to be done with aftermarket hardware AND software. As far as we know, there hasn't been distribution of the MOPAR reflash software. You'll want to look into MegaSquirt and Tuner Studio for the upgrade.

Your codes are more thank likely for the bypassed EGR and the MAF reading positive pressure.

I have a feeling it's due to the ground strap on the exhaust kinda dangling contacting sometimes not others since the CEL now comes on and off occasionally just want to check. Is MegaSquirt piggyback?

That ground strap wouldn't cause a CEL, though it's good to have it hooked up. The EGR causing an intermittent CEL makes sense. You still have the solenoid electrically connected but it won't open the valve without a recognized vacuum source. It usually takes a couple minutes for the light to trigger in that scenario and will reset during the next ignition cycle.

I'll let you do some reading on the Megasquirt. It's a standalone unit, but can be used in conjunction with the stock ECU if you prefer. A full installation is pricy and requires some electrical work, but that's what it takes to properly tune these cars.
