O2 Sensor Help...

I put on the apexi gt downpipe with cat eliminator, which turns the engine light on. I have seen the simulators sold on ebay, but I don't want to screw anything up. What does everyone suggest I do to correct the engine light properly (not including putting my cat back on ) Thank you all.

The CEL for not having a rear o2 affects nothing.

You can just wrap the rear O2 sensor in Al foil and zip tie it out of the way. Just make sure it's still plugged in.

Does that actually turn the check engine light off?

Or do you guys think I should just put an O2 simulator on the original and install a wideband kit with a gauge? I just want the light off with no bad side effects.

You will most likely have to clear the code, but it shouldn't come back unless the rear O2 is dead. The ECU is just looking for a consistent voltage from the rear O2 and the Al foil is there because the O2 is equipped with a heating element. We wouldn't want any fires.
