Does anyone know where I can find a write up somewhere on how to remove the trans from my 420a. I understand its pretty easy but still Its the first time and I dont want to get into something and then have to have the car towed to a garage to fix it.

I need to pull the trans, I am not even going to try to install the LSD myself but the tranny shop will charge me half if i just bring in the transmission opposed to letting them do it all

Well, it depends on a automatic and manual, But i Suppose its a stick shift, just remove all your tranny axles, (Hope you done that b4) once you have all the axles out, remove your shift linkages, and your clutch master cylinder, Remove the cylinder itsself save time on have to bleed your clutch again, once thats done remove the tranny bolts that run to the block and the starter also, after you have cleared all that stick a jack under the tranny and begin on the transmission mount, once the mount is out your done with all the bolts and all, just pull the tranny back away from the block, to clear you Dow pins (Line up the tranny) and drop it down

That should be all, if i aintmistaken, you may have to do a little more work than that you may wont to get a second opinion, b/c I drive a 1st gen, and some thing may be diffrent on the tranny (Like more hoses bolts) but thats the basics

Anyone that see's that i messed up or anything let me know, i dont wanna lead the kid down the wrong path and hell, i like to learn somethjing new everyday also:dsm:

Dont forget to remove the clutch bolts prior to dropping the trans. Our clutches are modular.
