not getting any spark to plugs

i bought a jdm motor for my 91 gsx and wired it up it will turn but it will not fire a spark it is getting power into the coil ... i have heard when they are shipped over here they can rust but where at? cause i would like to sand the rust off to get a good connection and try that....

look more at the CAS. Inspecet, if you have a different one try it. Jdm ones are black and magnetic opposed to mechanic, this could be the one thing I see rusting and causing spark problems.

follow the haynes proceedure for inspection of the coil.

I just had the same problem happen to me, some water got into the CAS and ruined it so i would more at the cas then the coil's

ok i am finally getting a spark but it only sparks when i let off the key... i will turn the key and the engine turns but does not spark then when i let off it will spark right after.... what can this be i am so confused... and for some reason it stopped sending a spark at all... any help please!!!
