not enough gas or to much fuel not sure please help.

Ok here is whats happening is when the motor gets to run temp it starts to run funny like when your driving and you take your foot off the gas pedal the stutters like its not getting enough gas or to much air or i was thinking it could be carbon build up in the intake manifold or something like that cause i just replaced my fuel filter thinking it could be a gumed up fuel filter but it was not that so any help would be awesome cause i really dont want to have to bring my car to a shop and pay someone to fix and cost a crap ton of money.
 
cool thanks guys for all your help, but now i have questions for you. 1. fierosail what is the hg. 2. gofast63 which sensor would you check first so i now where to start. 3. Hesh724 what is the mpi pump and the transistor and coil where on my car. sorry guys for the questons i am a newbie here and just really want to learn to do this stuff by myself.

Anymore help would be awesome.
 
thank you fierosail i was not sure if it was that or something else and thanks for the help. and i checked my vacum lines and it was not that i cleaned my throttle body up a little and still doing the same thing so i might just have to bring it to a shop.
 
You might have a vacuum leak but someone more educated with N/T should say more about that.

If it's a vacuum leak it could be the intake manifold gasket is letting air in and the computer doesn't know about it. Bam, too much air not enough fuel. How does it act when you have the throttle wide open? (WOT)

Do you have any CEL's and does the CEL light turn on for 5 seconds when you first cycle key to 'RUN'?
 
Its the 2.0 nt starts fine and idles fine except when driving it when motor temp is at running temp then it surges a little bit and try's to die sometimes, and it runs fine with the thorttle open NHerron its when you take your foot off the gas pedal when it starts to act funny.
 
Got a timing light, and a jumper wire with alligator clips on each end for starters?

Behind the battery in the harness is a connector with a cover plug in it. Take off the cover and inside the connector is a wire blade that you attach one end of the jumper with the other end of the jumper connected to a ground point on the chassis. Timing light gets connected to No.1 spark plug wire and you check to see if the pulley mark, with motor hot and idling is poing at *5 BTDC when you hold the gun. If not, you loosen the CAS to where the marks gets together.

You say when you take your foot off the gas it acts funny, but that it idles fine. Does that mean it only has the problem during decell? If so, can you describe the problem?

You know the engine is not supposed to get any fuel at all when you let off the gas, and the RPM is above something like 1500 rpm. Since the momentum of the car is the only thing making the engine turn at this point, how funny could it be acting?
 
Yes Colt4G63 also it only does it durning decell and when i take my foot off the gas pedal the car shakes and stutters then it stops after i put my foot back on the gas pedal or the car will stop shaking/stuttering once the rpms drop and it only does this when the motor is at running temp.
