noob question...6 bolt swap...

hi guys...i just had a quick question, im too much of a noob to be doing a 6 bolt awap by myslef even if i had the right equipment but i just want to know how much a 6 bolt costs(rebuilt) with some parts added for renforcement for modding and how much it would generally cost for the swap itself at a shop(generally speaking)... also i was wondering what some good places might be to find a built up 6 bolt for failry good prices or just anywhere to find them so i could do the pricing myself....thank you

If you've got a 90, like you're profile says, then you dont have to worry about a 6-bolt swap. You've already got one.

Yea, if you've got a '90, you're good to go, you've got some wierd parts to deal with, but you get the good oil cooler, and if your tranny isn't grinding, you're good to do

nah i sold my 90' and im looking at a 95 tsi awd...the motor has semi high milage on it so i dont want to start modding it anymore then it already is plus when it comes to more power down the line i want to swap it to 6 bolt any way so i can build off of that.. sorry for not specifying earlier...but now adding that info in what should/could i do.....

if you buy it you should wait untill / if you need a motor then worry about it.

true...good point i didint think about it that way...im just worried about the modding aspect and the whole crankwalk thing....im failry new to the dsm scene so i dont know the ins and outs of the motor aspect but crankwalk is a failry often talked about topic on here concerning 7 bolts and i was just curious.....but thank you though for all your guys input so far
