2G NON-Turbo vs Turbo Wiring Harness

Is the wiring harness any different on a Non-turbo vs. a Turbo eclipse? Thinking about buying a regular non-turbo and doing an engine swap.

Be more specific. Are you talking about a 1G or a 2G?

2g, but most likely putting in a 1g engine. putting in 4g63 engine, also turning it from FWD into AWD.

No way. Don't bother. I had a 98GS at one time that I was debating the same thing. The wire harnesses are completely different. For one the ECU in the non-turbo is located under the hood and the turbo ECU is under the dash. Two, they use different sensor like map vs mas. Third, the motor mounts are totally different. You would have to cut the welded mount off of a turbo chassis and weld them on your non-turbo chassis. I just turbo charged my non-turbo for allot less.

As fare as the AWD goes. I am converting my Spyder to AWD. It is pretty involved. You need allot of parts. Your looking at at least $1500 for the AWD parts. Here is a link to the thread about it. AWD conversion

My advice. Save allot of money and effort and buy a GSX.

yea and the non turbo car is not a bad thing. they have the potential to make good power with the right work

Dont tell him that he should just waste money on a turbo on that piece of shit chrylser motor. #### that motor dont put a dime in it. not being a jackass but thats like turbo'n a D15 honda motor when u coulda just bought the NA b16a for the same price and whoop'd its ass
