hey whats up guys, i have a brand spanking new non turbo head off my girls laser which was a 6 bolt. My question is whats the difference between the two besides the cams? Like is the valvetrain completly different, ive asked a buch of people here in ct at shops and they said that was a good question so i have come to you guys!

Thanks Mike

I know the cams are a slightly different and I've heard something about the valves possibly being different too, like made out of a different material, but I'm not sure. I'm planning on building up my non turbo 6 bolt head for use on my built 6 bolt turbo engine that I'm running now.

Why not call Lucas English and ask? I'm sure someone at their shop knows.:hellyeah:

ok that will be my last resort i was jsut wondering if they were interchangable just for like a quick swap. i will be doing valves springs retainers ect but i was just curious

Its the same except for cams. but if you are changing internals anyway it shouldn't matter right?

My 2g had a 6 bolt non turbo head on it for a year with the non turbo cams still in it.

Recommended, no. Can it be done, yes.

the valves, springs, retainers are the same for turbo or non turbo
