Noise after rotor and pad install?

Alright I just installed my slotted dimpled rotors and PBR metal master pads the other day and I noticed this distinct line on the face of the rotor on the drivers side. I also noticed that when I would brake, there would be a noticeable kind of metal to metal noise. I've only driven on them for about 100 miles, so I figured maybe they just need to be broken in still.

Anyways today I decided to remove the drivers side wheel and caliper to inspect, the only thing that I could think of that might be causing the noise was the anti-rattle clips. I checked to make sure the clearance was good and put everything back together, went for a drive and still the noise is there. Other than the noise, everything else seems fine...smooth braking, no vibration or anything.

Anyone have any ideas what it might be? I hope it's just the fact that they are still new pads.

i know that i changed the rotors on my car one time and i bent that metal dust shield alittle bit and it was making noise, but it was making constant, because it was hitting the rotor.

it also could be a small rock or stone from the road.

I am having the same problem. I got the dotted and slot rotors off ebay around last year and i got the greenstuff pads. When I changed them couple months ago, I dont like the way they feel (alittle vibration) and the pads dont handle alot of braking and they make noises when I brake. So I am not sure what to do, I am thinking to get a different brand of pads maybe?????

yeah that happened to me before when i changed to powerslot rotors and ebc pads. its the metal part on the side of the thing that holds the pads thats rubbing against the rotor. make sure there not sticking out further than the pads itself.

Yeah the anti-rattle clips, I checked and it's still doing it. I guess I'll check the passengers side tomorrow just for the hell of it.
