Hi,

I am going to buy a hks ssqv bov from someone on the net but the pics he sent me show that the back of the bov is missing the vac/boost fitting. Is this fitting replacable or is this bov broken for good? If the fitting is replacable where could I get it?

Thanks in advance

put your stock 1G bov in a vice crush it about 2-3 mm and it will hold as well as the hks without the bad side effects of venting to atmosphere. our cars arent meant to vent, that air has been counted my the mass air sensor and will make you rich and bog between shifts. spend the money on a catback or down pipe, a manual boost controller if you dont have one. spend $ on parts that make you faster not slower :nono:

The HKS SSQV can be recirculated, but the kit is NOT cheap. They even sell a machined 1g flange adaptor for it, but IT also is NOT cheap. If you dont like the looks of the valve, but still have to have it, i would use an Escrow service. www.escrow.com It will help to make sure you dont buy parts that you didnt ask for or parts that are broke.

Are you talking about that fitting in the middle of the back side? It's a set screw isn't it? I would imagine you could buy a replacement from HKS. I can't tell if that other [upper] fitting/nipple can be replaced or if it's cast/machined into the back portion. If that's the part that's missing, I would advise saving your money unless he's giving it to you for a couple of bucks.

I take it you're planning to turbocharge your non-turbo. Mind filling out your vehicle profile so we can see her mods? Thanks. :laser:
