So if i'm cruising around under part throttle and my boost builds up, it will only build to a certain point until my HKS BOV will whistle VERY loudly. It only does this under part throttle, never under WOT. It's like the BOV vacuum nipple it getting some vacuum where the rest of the intake manifold plenum is under boost allowing the BOV to open prematurely.

Anyone who hears it says that it's not normal and that my BOV is acting up. But it holds boost very well and doesn't leak.

there's a local guy who's car does that as well, i don't know why it does that. the only thing i can think of is that somehow the vacuum source is screwed up or something. have you ever tried working with pre-tensioning the bolt in the back of the bov.

I have, it doesn't change anything. Just makes the BOV's gobble more/less loud. Doesn't affect the part throttle whistle.

check all ur vacuum lines and tee fittings and make sure theyre all in good condition and the right size, some plastic tee fittings are too small and dont really transfer pressure very well.

No T fittings, all vacuum sources are taken straight from the manifold to their respective areas. Brake Booster/BOV/FPS all have their own nipple on the plenum.

Boost controller is taken from its own nipple on the j-pipe.
