no start need help

so obviously my car wont start. its a 1990 tsi awd. Ive got spark, fuel,air,and combustion. ive got a new coolant temp sensor. ecu is good just rebuilt. mpi relay is good i can hear it click on when i turn the engine over. isn't there a test for the cas about turning it by hand and hearing the injectors click. i have no CELS. my MAS is good. new coil pack plugs wires. fpr is good. when i pulled the plugs after trying to start it they were soaked in gas. i can hear my injectors click when i turn the engine over. im lost car ran fine then just wouldn't start. i might have checked more ting ill let u know if i can think of any thing. ne who thank you for any ideas or help you might have.

If your plugs are coming out wet with fuel I would think you are having an ignition problem. Recheck for spark again. I would suspect the power transistor/ignitor.

ya checked every thing in that link. i read it about week ago. thanks though.

spark is still good checked it a few times now.

Did you pull each plug, clamp it to the block, reattach cable, turn key to start, and visually look to see if there's proper spark? Anything less doesn't prove good ignition.

yes i did exactly that and it was nice and bright white. ive checked the power transistor with a known good one no change.

If you are able to crank it I would believe it might be the CAS or ignition timing.

could it be my mpi relay?

You wouldn't have spark (via CAS and ECU) and injectors working if the MPI relay wasn't.

You say you have spark, fuel,air,and combustion. That is all an engine needs. So either you don't really have all of them or your timing is off. Did you recently replace timing belt? Mix up the plug wires? Run a compression test? What was worked on before it wouldn't start?

i did a headgasket and timing belt in march. ill check the timing again when i get home. thanks for the advise luv2rallye. ill keep updating just had my daughter a month ago been really busy.

ok so i jumped time got it all lined back up right and she fired right up thanks for all the advice.
