I'm not getting any spark. I'm working on a 95 gsx. The cop setup is brand new and good. The plugs are brand new and gapped at .032. I'm guessing it's crank or cam angle sensor. How do I test these? I unplugged one and the injectors fired when i plugged it back in. Any help would be great thanks.

The Mitsu manual calls for a spark plug gap between .028"-.030" so you might want to gap them a bit tighter or else deal with it mis-firing in boost later.

CAS Testing:
  1. Disconnect the sensor and measure on the engine harness side with the key in the "ON" position.
    • BLK (Pin 1) - Ground (0 ohms to ground)
    • BLU/RED (Pin 2) - 4.8v to 5.2v
    • RED (Pin 3) - 12v
  2. If everything checks good with a multimeter plug the CAS connector back in and check voltages with the engine cranking.
    • BLU/RED (Pin 2) - 0.4v to 3.0v (If your reading 0v while cranking then the CAS is dead)

CPS Testing:
  1. Disconnect the sensor and measure on the engine harness side with the key in the "ON" position.
    • BLK (Pin 1) - Ground (0 ohms to ground)
    • BLU/WHT (Pin 2) - 4.8v to 5.2v
    • RED (Pin 3) - 12v
  2. If everything checks good with a multimeter plug the CAS connector back in and check voltages with the engine cranking.
    • BLU/WHT (Pin 2) - 0.4v to 4.0v (If your reading 0v while cranking then the CPS is dead)

Thanks so much!!! I lost my fsm and have been searching this site and google for hours and can't find any posts that have that info. And i just called the "zone" and they told me the gap was supposed to be .032 but i'll change it to go within spec. Thanks again

So i'm still learning the whole multimeter.....do I need to test this in a/c or d/c setting? I'm guessing a/c for the alternating current, shouldn't be a direct current right?
