No reverse after rebuild

I have a 91 eagle talon with an aautomatic trans which is the f4a22

over the weekend i purchased the rebuild kit from a local shop and decided to do it myself. the disassembly part went well as so did the reassembly. anyway when i put up back on the car it ran way better in foward drive but i had no reverse. I came to a conclusion that i had not allighn the "o" rings on the center support. so i took it back off and disassembled it i put the center support like it should go and put it back together and on the car. it did the same thing, ran good in foward but no reverse.
the only thing that i noticed is that when i drop it down into "L" it will not shift down untill i hit the gas and then it will drop gear then go in 1st gear

Any ideas on what it could be??

P.S i have already changed the pulse generators, and the valve body and torque converter are known to be good

Check this out, I got my car to go reverse. what it was, is that i did not properly position the center support.

Any way, yester day i was trying it out and it ran pretty good, but today after school i came home to try out my car and it did not move. i took out the pulse generator to look through the hole and noticed that the kickdown band would not stop the kickdown drum when in drive or reverse.

My question is that if there is a way to adjust that band or what do i do?

This is the 11th time that i have taken off the trans and im getting tired of messing w/ dsm's

yet they are badass cars

so any help would be appriciated, Thanks
