No power unless engine is running?

In short, my car has no power to it unless the engine is ON. Doesn't matter if the keys in the ignition in the on position - the car has no power unless the engine is on, no dome lights, no CD player, no power locks, no windows (I have all these but they won't work unless my engines running.) Once the car is running if I hit my brakes the CD player pauses... (if a CD is playing.) and when I open my door while its running, my door ajar buzzer sounds very, very... off. (Instead of a regular buzz, it like starts to scream faintly, just once...) the acc. power disappears as soon as the engine is off, either way I did a last post about it not to long ago - but the title wasn't very accuerate. I need help on where to look... maybe I burn't a wire out?

They worked afew days ago until when I was working on my car the battary cable fell back onto the battary as I was reconnecting my alternator wires, and sent a shock through the car (I felt it.).

Checked fuses, they are fine. Maybe I should re-check them...

Just need some help guys, car idles rather off today also fluxes and misses alot.

Were you able to start the car with the starter motor? Or did you pop the clutch to get it to start? Because from your description it sounds like not even the starter would work if the car was off.

I have a similar problem, a couple days ago I would turn the car off but before opening the door, I could put my windows up, now I can't. The engine has to be on to put the windows up and everything. As of like two days ago, my dome ligths barely every turn on when I hit the bottons or they might turn on very faintly then burn right out, this is ridiculous, I don't get it.

check the fuses for it make sure none of them are blown sounds like the accessory power wire may have a short in it or blown fuse....

Ok when you check fuses, be sure to check them with a fuse checker. They can look fine, but be bad.

Also it sounds like it may be something in the alt it's self. If you can remove it and have it checked out. After that, go through and see where the power drops off, or stops. See what actually gets power with the key on, if nothing at all even starter, look at the fuses (and check them the right way)on the battery cable it's self close to the positive cable end.

Get back to us after that. Also do the second part first, before you remove the alternator.
