Ok this problem has been driving me nuts, went to start the car one day n thought I had a bad fuel pump, I replaced the relay, worked for a week n stopped, I kno the fuel pump works cause I have it wired into tha radio for now, otherwise it's not getting power to it. What do u guys think I should check out? Or where can I find a wireing diagram for it. And as I was tring to take out the fuel pump I snappend the l shaped fuel line on the sending unit tha comes out of the gas tank, been looking for months for a new one but to no prevail so I could use some tips on where to get a new fuel sending unit and incase it makes a diff there is an aem ecu in the car

go out and buy yourself a chilton or equivalent manual to you car, in addition go out and buy a multi-meter. The manual will become you new bible and the multi-meter will help you find out where you have power/or no power also will let you do continuity tests.

before removing you fuel pump assembly and breaking everything, check if the fuel pump is getting power through its original wire using the multi meter. Check for grounds also.

A new sending unit can be exspensive, for 1g AWD that is, they are getting rarer and rarer, grabbed mine about 6 months ago for 75.

Also just to make sure, you are using a standalone in the car?

Yes I have a stand alone, AEM, and thanks I have a multimeter but since I have an aftermarket ems wouldn't the manual be useless to me

then manual deals with more than just the ecu of the car. It has wiring schematics and diagrams that allow you to diagnose problems and where they can be occurring. It can help you identify what wires go to where. Also with what wire to test for power ground continuity. My chilton manual has over 500 pages in wiring diagrams.

Are you sure your outputs are defined properly in the AEM Pro software? I know the fuel pump wiring is PnP but you can still define the output to do something different. If you hit a key or clicked something by mistake it might have disabled it or changed the parameters for which it turns on.

Also, are you still using factory wiring or did you re-wire it yourself?

I figured out the problem, I know its been awhile but I haven't had many chances to work on my car lately. either way it was the starter relay, I replaced it and it runs fine now, no more fuel pump wired to the radio :)
