No power in 3rd gear

today i decided to drive it a little hard to see how the car is running with the engine rebuild and replacement of the turbo (its been 1000+ miles). 1st to 2nd gear at 6500rpm is good full boost and power. when i go from 2nd to 3rd at almost redline i lose power. it reads that i have boost 12-14psi but its going nowhere.

it drives perfectly fine when i do a 3rd gear pull. the sudden power loss only happens when i go from 2nd to 3rd at almost redline. I am waiting for the car to cool down and im gonna reconnect and tighten the lower intercooler pipe and the uicp that is connected to the intercooler and the intake.

also when i get the sudden loss of power the car make this funny sound like a very low whining sound. cant really explain how it sound like.

my uicp that connects to the intercooler was coming out. remove it and got it securely back on and now its driving pefectly.

mine is in 3rd top of 3rd it does the same thing doesnt feel like i have any more power but i didnt notice a sound, just stoppd accelerating in 3rd shift to fourth it had normal boost
