I have a Talon that has the AM/FM Cassette and CD player all in one unit. The FM just quit working the other day, AM works fine. I looked at the antenna wire at the radio and when I pulled it out the power to the unit turned off. I also looked at the antenna wire at the antenna end, their appeared to be electrical current flowing throug the antenna wire (very strange). Any way after tinkering around a bit there appears to be no current at the antenna, but the FM still doesn't work.

Ideas?

Thanks

Are your FM settings stattic or nothing at all?

If the radio is indeed broke, it will likely cost you more than the cost of a new aftermarket unit (if can be fixed at all). Though can prol find a used one on the trader if you want to stay with the factory unit.

The FM receiver might have burned out, blown or anything and now it wont work unless you want to resoder the board with a new receiver, which would be extremely hard for yourself, and would cost a lot. Just pick up a nice aftermarket headunit, you can find some under 100$ with lots of options. www.crutchfield.com is good

Thanks for the input. All I get is static and I have "re-booted" the head unit. I will probaly look for an original on ebay.

Thanks,

Tom
