Why doesnt lotek or any other company make a full apillar replacement for the 1g's. I have taken that whole piece off many times and think to myself how simple it would be for them to make one . i Know this has been disscused before but i actually want to take action to get this moving forward. Any thoughts guys?

Hey, the motorized belts are great. The number one reason given for suspicion pullovers here in SoCal is that the officer thought you weren't wearing your belt.

When you have a motorized one, there's no argument... he looks at it, and you ask if you can go, now. I'm actually going to be sad when mine have to go in favor of a four or five-point. :(

Have to agree on the pillar pod-replacement.. it'd be nice to have a simple snap-on one that didn't look hackneyed without a buttload of work.

All i did with my auto seatbelt was when the seateblt ran tth track to the back posittion shut off my car and pulled that pillar piece off then i there is like a little metal piece with a another one on top that the wires for the seatbelt run to. well i popped the top one off an it cut power to the seatbelt so it stayed in the belted position at all times and when i needed it off i just hit the button. It actually worked quite well.
