Okay so i've read that having a MBC would replace the need of a boost control solenoid, but i bought my car, and i just now realised it has neither a mbc or bcs, is that normal? Could it be harmful? and why would the previous owner and or owners have removed it?

As long as the wastegate actuator is hooked up to the nipple on your compressor housing on the turbo Directly you will be fine. Double check that. It will just run stock wastegate pressure rather then being set by the solenoid or mbc.

have you checked if your turbo is connected to your wastegate actuator directly?
if its not then you have no sorce to tell the turbo when to stop boosting and that is harmful..
you may outspin the turbo and there goes your block too.. take some pictures so that we can help you out and tell you what is needed to be done so that you dont have problems later on. (sorry for the run on sentence)

yeah it is, thank you very much, i didnt even know that had anything to do with it haha

edit: oh and if and when i buy an mbc what would i do to hook it up? run lines from the one coming out of the bov to the mbc to the wastegate actuator?

you would cut that existing line in half and run it in the middle. would be the simplest way to explain it. (like it would be in place of the solenoid itself..)

snip that line and throw the mbc in between the two now shorter lines

psshh.. jay beat me this time. LOL

When you get an MBC you will be happy. You are only running 7 pounds right now and with a boost gauge you can turn that up a little more and have a little more fun good luck.

I do have a boost guage and it peaks around 15 im not sure where you're getting the 7

if you are hitting 15psi (not the fake gauge in the dash i presume?) on a real mechanical boost gauge, you have a modded wg spring at 15psi. if not, your stock gauge is lying to you. and the wg spring (you guessed it!) is set to 7-8 psi.
