I've been a member for several weeks and still cannot start my own thread in other areas of the forum. Can anyone explain why?

Anyway I tried to make a thread in 2g NT bolt on tech about exhaust options. Here's my question anyway:

I already have headers, and I was supposed to have a custom cat-back exhaust mandrel bent and welded for me with the cat included by a local shop. Long story short they're pissing me off because it's been two months and they keep having different excuses to delay the project. Now I'm just going to buy bolt ons and do it myself to finally get my entire exhaust system done.

I want it to be a fully 2.5" system, and I've looked at Apexi and Tsudo and Thermal and others. Can anyone guide me to a place where I can buy a Thermal cat-back reletively cheaply? If I recall correctly I've heard good stuff about that system being quieter than the rest and still having the straight-through power. Or can anyone else let me know what they have on their NT dsm, how much it cost, where they got it, and how they like it? Is it loud and obnoxious, or is it nice and deep? Was it like 250 shipped or more like 500 shipped? It would be a HUGE help to get some info since the bolt on FAQ section is not ready yet, as far as I can tell at least. Thanks.

And can I buy a high-flow replacement cat that bolts directly between my header and cat-back exhaust? No welding involved. Where can I get a real catalytic converter for a reasonable price?

about one of your questions read here why.

About the exhaust question, sorry I can't help. don't know too much and all I care is that the exhaust is open enough to have a good flow (that is for turbo guys) for you, you need some back pressure and 2.5" is good enough for a N/A car.

You don't need back pressure. You need a thinner pipe so that your exhaust can scavenge and produce better low end torque and horsepower. If you go with the thermal I think its like 3" thats gonna be a littel big to get much out of your low end. I'd say Titogs95 is right go with a 2.5".
