6 bolt 4g63 nt in 95 tsi

OK here is what i wasted money on:

JDM 1989-1994 eclipse/talon 4g63 high perf. DOHC engine
engine is completely rebuilt, with sealed power bearings, fel-pro gaskets, .060 over wiseco pistons, CNC precision honed block ,new chromoly piston rings, 9.5:1 compression, SCE copper head gasket, zero decked block, .004 milled ported and polished head, ARP rod bolts, turbo rods, new timing belt, includes power steering pump,a/c brackets, water pump, set of new standard size rings,intake and exhaust manifolds,motor mounts, possibly whole car depending on location of buyer. all ignition parts. desktop dyno estimates 230 hp without turbo.

I bought this on ebay and when it finally came in I realized it was a non turbo block. I was going to put it in my 95 talon tsi fwd cause i blew my engine and tranny. I called David Buschur and he told me I bought a real piece of shit! What can I do with this other than trash it. Will a 2g fwd turbo tranny mount up to it? Any suggestions?

it will mount up,but it sounds like it was built as an all-motor thing or built for one hell of a fuel system at that compression level.im using a n/a block with my project.just lacks oil squirters is all.it will bolt up though,just fine.but 60 over pistons on the 4g63 is pretty high.most dont recommend over 40.the walls are so thin at that point,you might overheat or even distort the cylinder walls.

Is it built with turbo internals? If so then it will be fine, the nt block is the same as the turbo block minus the oil squiters. So as long as the rods and pistons are made to handle boost then you will be fine.

Yeah it has turbo rods and wiseco pistons but it is bored .060 over.

9.5:1 compression

run really low boost or swap out the pistons with a lower compression ratio. NT and T blocks are basically the same, the NT block just doesn't have any oil squirters.

hey man i know exactly what engine you're talking about. the guy you bought it from lives in kansas and so do i, but i never saw it(he lives about 2 hours away). i believe it was painted green all over. i backed out of buying/bidding on it due to .060 over bore. i thought like the other guy who suggested buying lower compression pistons said, but then i thought how hard is it to find .060 over pistons for our cars. that thought alone made me say no. the engine looked to be in awesome shape, but it just seemed that the guys build up didn't really set him up well for a true NA or turbo motor. it just seemed like a middle of the road motor that made it difficult to decide what to add to it. i hope that you get something out of it wether you work with it or get rid of it. good luck.

Well I think I am going to put it in and hope for the best. It is the same green engine you are talking about. Even if I tried to sell it I don't think I could get my money back. I have a big 16g ported and clipped that I'm going to hook up to it. I'll just run low boost. Hopefully it will work out.

Well I am buying a TRE-spec transmission to bolt up to my engine also. What boost would be ok with my engine?
