Well, I went to the junk yard and found a nice looking 1g with a 4g63 nt shortblock which I can get it for $30. More likely ill scrap everything in it and only keep the bare block + caps. Was wondering if the NT 6 bolt 4g63 bare block has the same dimensions and strength as a 6 bolt 4g63t bare block?

i believe it does, for my 7 bolt, i just did away with the NT internals and machined (oversized pistons) and replace the internals with forged stuff, i think you will be fine

I figured that. Ill be using forged setup more likely. Don't think im worried about having squirters or not.

Do you know what the purpose of having an oil squirter is?

Also, the rear of the block will have to be tapped to accept the knock sensor.

Yea, I know what the squirters are for. For $30 at the pull-a-part its actually worth it. Taping in a new sensor spot won't be a problem. I'm just double checking that the Nt block is comparable to a turbo block.

It is comparable. That is what im running right now. And there is a spot in the block for the knock sensor its just not in the same spot as the t block. There is actually two places you can put it in the n/t block.

The non-turbo and the turbo 4G63 blocks are the same with the exception of the internals.

The non-turbo 4G63 block does not have the oil squirters. Their necessity with forged internals is highly debated but I think you will be find without them.

Some non-turbo 4G63 blocks are already tapped for the knock sensor. Some you have to tap yourself. Either way, not a problem.

One question, that I can't believe hasn't been asked yet, is it a 6 bolt or 7 bolt block?

Either way, for $30 it is a steal. Get it. Get it now.

Hope this helps!
