Seriously, a large enough shot and you probably could, but how many runs do you think you could make before a piston comes sailing through your hood? Build it right if you want speed.


*edit* I just looked at your mods and I don't know why you're only running 13's. Even with FWD you should ba faster.
 
Yeah you have a good 60ft (1.8) I think you need to look at fuel tuning, maybe a wideband and SAFC2 would benefit you more then nitrous at this point.
 
yeah supposedly I ran not so good that day...and also it was at high alt. in Colorado... :notgood: ...but supposedly I have like the best ECU out there soooo I dont know....and catbox 95 I can run 10's sucka...

Not with an ass-load more work on your car, you can't. Sure, you could probably put a 200-shot on there, but you think you're going to get more than 1 run on it? You'd be lucky to get that. Read the forums here, great resource for learning.

P.S. I'm reminded of the the forum description on the front page, "How to run 10's when you haven't even run 12's...."

If you can already run 10's, then why did your first post ask if you could run 10's if you put nitrous on your car, and your profile says you run a 13.2? Why would you even start this thread if you are already running 10's? :confused:

Come on, its not a contest!! Anyway I think your times can be improved if you work on tuning a little bit. Seems like you have the mods covered well (o2 elim. dp, catback, b16G, FMIC, ACT clutch, EBC). I think the next step is tuning for sure. Basically look into an SAFC/Pocketlogger setup or maybe DSMLink. Depends on your plans for the car but either way DSMlink is probably the way to go, very impressive product. You could probably get your times down significantly if you focused on tuning, I don't know if the generic-type stage 3 ECU is the best choice.

I could run 8's with some "stuff." Anybody think I should start with nitrous or will I need a bigger wing first. You know, to keep me planted while I'm walking 1,200 horse Supras and Skylines? :rocks:

Actually, you're incorrect. You CANNOT run 10's with an extra shot of nitrous. If you run a 13.2, there's not a shot of nitrous that will get you in the 10's. You will go faster than 13.2, so you spray more, and go a little faster, so you spray more - but with just nitrous alone, your engine will blow sky-high before you reach 10's, or even 11's for that matter.

shots of nitrous wont get you a 3 second gain. maybee if you use 2 N-tercoolers...spool nitrous into your turbo and have galons of it in your trunk it wont happen. and remember..real racecars dont use nitrous! :thumb:
