Ok what do I need to run nitrous on my car? I have a 1990 Mitsu GST and it has 151K on the clock. The 46 year old guy I bought it from religously did maintance on the car as do I. Its in tip-top shape no oil leaks, no boost leaks, nothing. Just did all the belts and proper maintance. My question is ive heard alot about that you have to advance the timing or what not to run nitrous im confusied on this. Im going to buy all the proper fuel mods to run it, fuel pump, afpr, etc. I was wondering what else I need to put on my car to run just a 50 wet shot. What is the safest kit I could possibly use? I have a 14b on the car and im going to port it soon, is running 15-16 pounds and a 50 shot safe? I dont want a bigger turbo Id like to keep my 14b for now and run some laughing gas. My mod's are in my profile. Please clear this up for me. Thanks alot Jesse. :dsm:

I'd be ready to do some very thorough porting of the turbo and the 02 housing in order to fight boost creep. Nitrous LOVES a free flowing exhaust because it makes ALOT of exhaust gas pressure so you will probably find your boost gauge pegging itself out if you don't go through and do a little porting.

Also you are supposed to retard your timing when using nitrous in order to help prevent knock because nitrous creates more cylinder pressure. I'm looking into going the 14b+gas route so if you have any more question IM me or just make another post!

I was going to make the same comment about the turbine housing, it's only a 6cm on a 14b. I would pick up a used 7cm housing from someones toasted 16g for 20-30 bucks to allow the increased exhaust product to exit the motor more easily. This should increase power potential, and reduce the chances of the internal WG blowing open. Some good porting on the WG exit area and matching area on the O2 housing will help reduce creep. But in all honesty, I would be expecting to max out the turbo when using the nitrous, as I Do on my EVO8, so boost is irrelevant IMO. If your fuel system is sized properly this will not be an issue anyway.
