This is probably a stupid question but here it goes. I have been on this board for a couple of months now and have not posted except for a few times. Now I am not avoiding posting I just do not believe in commenting on things I do not have knowledge of. I have mostly been a spectator here and am just trying to take in as much info as I can. If a post comes up and I have some knowledge on the subject I try and help but most of the topics discussed are topics I am trying to gain knowledge on myself. My question is is there any other way to go from newb to member. Also I noticed that there are a few members posting in the classifieds that only have a few posts also, now perhaps they have earned a good reputation, but I was wandering if I would be allowed to post in the classifieds or if I have to wait for my reputation points to build up. Thanx for the help.

Looks like you're good to go. For your edification, the No Newbie Classifieds has nothing to do with newbies, and all to do with scam artists, thieves, and frauds. Without the restriction, just anyone can roll on in, put up their ad for platinum embossed valve covers, take a few payments and disappear. We try not to let the DSM Trader thing happen here, and still we get screwed by some.
As far as possible, we want our sellers to be fairly known on the site.

Hey! I'm also a older dsmer and would love to become a member now. You think you can also help me out here. I would love to start posting in the classifieds.
