this is my first gst. i have a couple basic questions. What are the simplest of mods for the gst? and what all do i need to change if i swap stock turbo for a 16g?

Do maintenance your car is 11 years old or older.

Maintenance. Then do a compression test. If your numbers are good after that then look at running a bigger turbo.

Remember your intake and exhuast system was designed for the turbo you have now. Look at upgrading that stuff first.

alright thanks guys and i have the 16g turbo already and a kandN intake im jus slowly but surley getting my mods to have all work done at once. Since were on the subject what exhaust should i invest in for a bassy sound and 3in tip? i dnt want the weed eater sound

Don't be afraid to search or look around before asking questions. Not everyone here enjoys spoon feeding on questions that have been answered or asked many of times. Usually if you youtube.com any particular exhaust you can find sound clips on a 2g.

These arent honda's you not going to get a "weed eater" sound at all with these cars.

I beg to differ, ive seen some exhaust systems kids put on these cars that really ruin the nice tone

with everything you will read when trying to upgrade these cars, MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE, MAINTENANCE is usually attached to every post. DO IT. and most any 3" exhaust will be fine, get a full exhaust, not a tip.
