Newb Suspension Question? Rear bar?

After washing my DSM today I saw a rear suspension bar that looks dangerously close to the insode edge of my rear tires. It looks stock but I'm not familiar with what of is and there is less then an inch of clearance in between the bar and my tire I can barley fit my pinkie in there???
Any insight on what it is..
Looking straight at the rear tire its above and behind ...centered?????

It's the knuckle. You'll be fine. The wheel moves in unison with the knuckle, it's the control arms themselves that move. If it isn't touching now, you should be ok.
