Car started sounding different so I went to check for boost leaks and realised my 3" turbo back was no longer attached in front or w/e... Can anyone tell me bolt size to use? or is there somewhere I can refer to for bolt sizes for specific parts? Thanks
Big newb

Please explain a little better which parts are disconnected. Is it the exhaust manifold to the head? Exhaust manifold to turbo etc...

Thanks a picture is worth a thousand words.

So you need bolts/nuts to go from your o2 housing to the downpipe.

I used some stainless stuff that was about the same size at default. I think the nuts are m12 x 1.25 and the correct m12 bolt, don't remember length, and corresponding washer. Should get you all taken care of.

yea I found that in a search but couldnt find what I needed... unless this is it
Downpipe (2.5" Buschur) to EVO III O2 Housing
....Gasket
....1-2) 2 nuts and 2 washers (the length is for the studs).............12 x 1.25........28........24........-........-
.........(that attach to the studs on the turbo O2 housing)

Thanks!!

That would be the one; the studs are M12x1.25 and 28mm long. Originally the O2 housing has two studs installed and a nut per stud holding the downpipe on. It doesn't appear that your car has the one stud -- the other isn't visible so I cannot say, so I must ask how the threads are on the O2 housing?

If the threads are fine and you want to get studs and nuts, you can use that size listed for reference or get OEM studs (MD089315) and nuts (MB059359). If you want to use bolts only, I would suggest getting slightly shorter bolts or the same size with lock washers. Be sure to use antiseize.

If the threads are messed up, you can try to clean them, drill and re-tap, or use smaller diameter nuts and bolts as a last option.

I think your going to just have to use your own judgment on the ones you would like to use. I think for the most part O2 housing come with studs or the hardware. I have a ebay O2 housing laying around somewhere... if I can find it, ill double check what bolts it came with but if i remember correctly the nuts for the studs on O2 housing were something big like a 17 or 19mm. Good luck man.
