This is the only section Im able to post in right now, so sorry about that.
But I just recently installed and lapped my new valves into my head after I went one on one with deer, (theres a post so you can see the damage: dsm+deer) and I was wondering if there was any break in period for the new valves, and how i should go about that if there is?

Drive it like you stole it man.

Hahah Ive been long awaiting that! But also, one of my friends up at the tech school I go to removed the lifters while I was off doing something, and didnt write down the order in which they came out of. Will this cause a problem also?

There isnt really a break in procedure for valves. It doesn't matter where the lifters go. They can be swapped between valves without any issues.

Alright cool, thanks.
Also I have some how lost one of my Valve spring seats, I was wondering what else I could do or use so I can get my car back together.

Just make sure to bleed the lifters of oil before you install them. It can lead to bent valves if you don't. Stick a paperclip inside the hole on the top and release the oil so it compresses easily.

I also am rebuilding my head. I only had three spring seats on the intake side.

Should I get new ones or will the hydraulic lifters (i have brand new lifters) compensate for the difference?

I'm new to the DSM engines, but I can tell you two things I do know. #1 The lifters will take up the space, however, this is not the problem.(see #2) #2 the spring seats are there to protect the aluminum head from spring wear. I have seen heads that the builder forgot to install these seats on, and the result was not pretty. I suppose I should mention that they were brought to me due to valvetrain noise amongst other issues.

That makes sense. Luckily I was only missing those. with 274* degree cams I ordered replacements. not taking that chance
