New toy on it's way... HKS SSQV

My HKS SSQV should be installed sometime this weekend, i will try to get vids of it if possible. It has the 1g flange set up. i do have the recirculation kit and the gold insert for it as well. I got it for a great deal, lets just say under 200 bucks!

i just got mine today and tossed it on after i got out of school tonite. I have the recirc kit but running it open atmosphere for now.....no stalls so thats good.....took it out on a test drive to tune the spring stiffness and i think i got it right where i want....sounds awesome.

Im fully aware of that I'm going to run it open atmosphere at first though, i had the turbo xs on before and my car ran fine.

the bov is nice. Ive got it on my car and its been about 4 years and no prb with it. (untill you data log it and you see all the spikes you get) its anice sounding bov... i dont have a clip. I use have videos but its been so long, I just got back into the scene after 2 years..

nice upgrade... holds boost very well.

I don't know if it's just me but... I prefer the sound without any insert at all! A little more subtle!

^^ true.. i have the recirc. part on the bov but venting... still has a high pitch note when low boost but sounds mean when its vents on high boost. anyone tried the low fq. one?

nope no sound clips yet....i have some from my other car. Ive been running the same bov on my nissan for about 3 years and i love it so much i had to get one for my dsm.

installed the bov at 7pm, wow i like it alot, my "tuner" friends envy me hahaha. no one around here where i live has anything that sounds like what i have. and the srt-4 guy pulled up beside me and says "ok so your bov sounds better than my crappy mopar one, but it's not faster than my car" who cars im not out to spank neons . anyways, i'll try getting some vids with and with out recirculated sometime in the next two weeks
