New to the scene but i have some problems

I just brought a 1997 rs only problem is that it drives but after a few minutes or so it will stall after i stop and try to take off in first and won't start for a couple minutes later also i think it idles funny it starts at 1k then goes to 1.5k and back to 1k and the alternator belt squeals when it starts but not while it is running

here the things i plan on replacing on soon 1.crank and cam sensor 2. clean throttle body or replace it 3.check vacuum lines 4.replace alternator and belt

now is there anything else i should do while I'm in there i also would like to clean up my engine bay area any suggestion

Valve cover gasket!!! Oil is getting by the s.p. tube gaskets. Replace it and be very careful not to put much, if any at all, r.t.v. sealant. It causes the gaskets to adhere to the valve cover, wont get it off, be warned!!!
