New to Dsm's need help getting mine to start

OK,
Where to start.
The car is a 92 eagle talon Non turbo, 5 speed. But i dont believe it to be the 420a. I read the block code and it says 4g67 which I believe is the 1.8 ? It is a DOHC engine. It is using the 2.0 DOHC non turbo electronics.

Back in october before I bought the car, I had got it running for a friend, but then soon after he bought a honda. The dsm had all the turbo 4g67 parts on it and ran (started and idled), i have since then removed all the turbo accessoires except for the intake manifold and the turbo inlet elbow.

Now the car will not start.
It has Fuel, spark, cam timing,firing order,decent compression (130's (+ or - 4))
And i am baffeled.

Now i did rig up the intake tube. IN other words im still using the turbo intake elbow with the N/a intake kind of clamped on. I had assumed that this would not cause a no start issue, i could be wrong and plan on swapping it out for one i modified this aftenoon. (Cut the flange off and welded on a 2 1/4 --> 2 1/2 reducer.
It also dosent currently have an 02 sensor. Im getting one of these later this afternoon as well.

What else am i looking at?
Cam angle sensor?

o2 sensor would probably help, and its a 4g63 by the way, not 4g67. Check that all the connectors are plugged in. Sorry I can't be much help, its hard to say without actually looking at the car.

No its definatley says 4g67.
Which is a mirage motor?
Hell i just need the car for a daily driver.
Unless someone wants a really really nice shell. and could trade me a good running Pos looking car.....

a non-working or non-existing o2 sensor is not going to keep it from running, although it will not run very good. it might be a stupid question, but in your intake rigging, did you remember to rig up the mas? without it the car will not start.

What i have begun to think though is that the intake is so restrictive that it is not allowing enough Air into the combustion chamber and since when the car cranks it dumps alot of fuel, its creating a Much to rich enviroment for it to ignite?

Was this car origionally turbo? If so your computer will run it way rich and you'll have a slew of other problems. The turbo motor would flow a lot more air than the NA version.

Well it was originally non turbo converted to turbo and now im converting it back to non for a daily driver.

Im thinking it may have jumped timing on me, It shot a huge fireball out of the intake.

Anyone want to buy a shell? Since these engines are interference my luck it bent every ####ing valve.

Anyone have any ideas?

I gave up for the night, I put on the larger inlet and it sounded very close to starting, but still nothing, i sprayed a touch of starting fluid in and still nothing.
The N/a injectors are pink tops correct?

Is there any way i can test to see if my crank/cam angle sensor is any good?

Again any help/ideas/comments are welcome.

i have a question if it was running with the turbo, why did you convert back to n/a? n/a ecu, o2 sensor, mas, nothing that i can think of that hasn't already been named. hmm and it shot a fireball out of the intake??

A car will start with the Mas not pluged in accually!



-How long has the car been sitting?
-Yea explain how it shot a fire ball out the intake.
-Take some pics of the bay for us and I think we can get you a rough idea of whats wrong, does anyone even know what engine it is, sounds like a n/t 4g63.

The car sat for around 3 months, it started and ran before it sat.
I know because i was the one who got it running correctly.

When i mean it shot a fireball out of the intake i mean it, some of the shifter bushings caught fire and shit.

Ill see if i can get some pics later today, im so confused with this car i dont know what to do.
