i recently got a 96 mirage from a family member of mine. i know that the older mirage and colts were big on the engine swaps, but i'm having trouble finding anything out as far as a 96 mirage goes. i was wondering if someone would beable to point me in a direction to go as far as there being anything that can be done with the car. and maybe even the motor that is in it now. i'm not to sure if it has anythign to offer, but as i said i know that the older mirages you could swap out the motor in, and i'd liek to fit a gst engine in there if possible

what engine code would that be?

i don't know anythign about the evo series of car really.

would i have to find a transmission to make that a front wheel drive

If by gst engine, you mean the 4g63t. Pop the hood and tell us what the valve cover says. You can get a 4g63t from the JDM(Japanese Domestic Market) here's a list.

i'm waiting on the car to be delivered to me from out of state, so i am unable to pop the hood and see, but thank you for the link.

i'm really just wondering if anybody knows what is possible with this car

from what i just read on wiki, not a lot being like 113 HP stock if its an LS. If you swap in a 4g63t, just look at the dyno posts and 1/4 mile times, and thats what you could accomplish. :thumb:
