new to dsm/cars help

hey im gonna be purchasing a basically stock tsi 92...... i dont know much about cars so if you guys can let me know the first couple things i should do just to make it more reliable/stronger (however you wanna word it) and to start prepping for a builup i would really appreciate it ... im gonna be looking to eventually put 400+ to the wheels... but thats not gonna start for a month or 2.... for now i just wanna make it a reliable daily driver and basically take away anything that could go wrong () before it does (like tbelts waterpump etc etc) so any suggestions would really be apreciated

There are many posts on this type of topic. Do a search. Try looking at some of the upgrade paths available on the site.
